Your version of me
Sometimes I feel a sense of despair realizing that some people will never truly know me. To some, I am merely humorous, to others I am arrogant, kind or irritable. But I’ve come to realize it is okay for people to have a 'wrong' idea of who I am—they may even leave this world without ever seeing my true self. Perhaps no one can fully know your true self not even you.
This means you don't have to know someone's whole to understand or to love them. Human nature is so fluid and ever-changing that total understanding is impossible. Now I let people picture whatever version of me they choose. I no longer force explanations or apologize for who I am. I am perfectly fine with being the Villain in your story because I am the Hero of mine—and that is all that matters.
